Toys and Supplies for Cat

The cat’s space should have toys and other supplied needed by them. Cats like new things so they can be provided with several new toys to engage them properly. If the cat shows little or no interest in toys, then they should be given more time and new toys also. Other essential supplies like food and water bowls, cat bed, brush, collar, litter box etc. should also be provided to enrich the quality of life of the adopted cat.

Taking Care of Diet

Cats eat very less when they are stressed and sometimes stop eating also. It is important for the new owners to ensure that the cat is eating adequately. They can start feeding the cat with the diet from the shelter home and slowly transition their diet to what they would like to feed regularly. Instantly changing the cat’s diet can cause vomiting, diarrhea etc. In such cases, the cat should be taken to the veterinarian.

Regular Medical Checkups

The newly adopted cat should be taken to the veterinarian regularly for medical checkups. This will ensure that the cat is in good health and does not pose any threat of contagious diseases to other pets if there in the home.
